How to Verify RDSO Vendor Registration for a Girder Tender

For an Indian Railways girder tender that calls for an approved source, compare the tender's exact requirement with the current vendor record. Indian Railways directs users to the Unified Vendor Approval Module (UVAM) through the IREPS portal. A supplier's certificate or website can help locate the record.

Start with the tender clause

Record the tender number and the latest relevant corrigendum. Find the clause that identifies the required approved source and item or category. Note which entity must hold the approval under the tender and whether it specifies a fabrication unit, inspection authority or date by which approval must be current.

Compare the vendor record with the offer

For example, if an offer cites a registration for composite and other steel plate girders, compare that wording against the item required by the tender. If the terminology differs or the proposed fabrication unit cannot be matched, record the discrepancy and seek a written clarification through the tender channel.

Keep a record of the check

Save the vendor reference, the date checked, the tender clause and the item or category you matched. Include any written clarification with the technical evaluation. Check again at the stage specified by the tender if the package or vendor details change.
